3 Movies On Climate Change That You Should Watch

Here are a few movies that have had a big impact on me and are part of the reason I continue to care so much about the planet. I recommend watching them with your family and friends to give you an idea of how our pollution is impacting the health of the environment and what we can do to help turn it around.

Chasing Ice

Directed by Jeff Orlowski, this documentary shows us just how quickly the earth's glaciers are disappearing. By capturing the state of the melting ice and its impact on oceans and sea level rise, we can see clearly just how seriously climate change is impacting our planet.

Chasing Coral

- From the makers of Chasing Ice, this fascinating documentary explores the importance of corals, and why the current bleaching phenomenon is so detrimental. It shows the stages of a dying coral and how it effects not only the oceans ecosystem, but the entire planet.

Don't Look Up

- While this is not necessarily an environmental movie, it uses a meteor headed directly for earth as a metaphor to show how skeptics are downplaying climate change, either saying that it is overblown or denying that it even exists. Because of this, much of the public thinks climate change is a hoax, despite what science proves is true. If denying climate change and trying to get others to believe everything is fine sounds like a bad idea, that's because it is, and this movie does a good job of pointing out just how absurd and dangerous this deceit could be.
